March 18: “A Night at the Races”
Come out and support the Rappahannock County School Sports Association on Saturday, March 18 starting at 6 p.m. with this unique fundraiser. Held at CCLC Old School House in Washington there will be actual horse races shown and narrated with all the suspense and action that you’d experience at a real race track. You must be 21-years-of-age or older to attend. Pre-purchase tickets at $25.00 per person. Cash bar available throughout the evening. Door prizes, food and more. Presentation Workshop
Joan Proctor offer a Presentation Workshop for Rappahannock 4-H members. Joan teaches youth how to calm their nerves when speaking in public as well as how best to stand, how to create posters and other materials to go along with the presentation, and helps determine the best wording for presentations. On Friday, March 24 there will be a “Community Conversation on Aging”at the Washington Fire Hall from 9:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. sponsored by the Rappahannock Rapidan Eldercare Coalition. The now popular Tuesday night Synergy Oriental dance class is taught with the SynergyDance floorwork by creator Charmaine Lee.
