Women’s Daywill be celebrated at the Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Amissville on March 4 at 3 p.m. The guest speaker for the afternoon service will be Dr. Hortense Hinton from the Free Union Church in Culpeper. On Saturday, March 4, Little Fork Church will host a covered dish dinner and gathering for all who have attended a Cursillo or Emaus Walk weekend. The Nazareth Baptist Church family of Orange will hold its Ruth E. Pittman Scholarship Endowment Service on Sunday, March 5 at 3 p.m The guest preacher will be the Rev. Herbert Johnson, pastor of Promise Land Baptist Church, Washington. He will be accompanied by the choir, ushers and congregation. All are asked to come and join in fellowship with us. Lunch will be served following the morning service.

Come and be a part of the Prayer Shawl Ministry, a group which lovingly creates shawls for those in their community that may be grieving, dealing with illness, or suffering from a loss, and also for those experiencing a joy such as a wedding or new baby. The Amissville United Methodist Women are sponsoring a local unit of this nationwide ministry which will be meeting on the first and fourth Wednesdays of each month from 9 a.m. -11:30 a.m.
