I have always felt blessed to be able to live in Rappahannock County. It is a county like no other. I am a teacher and am able to live here because I found affordable housing, provided by a community member who is dedicated to helping this county and those who live in it. I speak of Monira Rifaat. Renting a house on her farm, I have seen firsthand her commitment to keep our county environmentally safe. Besides running a farm, she spends enormous amounts of time on various committees and associations aimed at keeping Rappahannock the natural beauty it is today.
