my fence with Monira Rifaat, one of the candidates for Piedmont Supervisor. I asked her what some of her positions were and she gave me a few of them. The first one, and the one that stuck with me the most was this: affordable houses for the teachers and police officers in the county to be built around the villages. You may be thinking that sounds like a great idea. I just ask you to keep something in mind. First of all, you can’t limit who will live in affordable housing. We may intend for only teachers and police officers to live there, but affordable housing is just another word for low-income housing.
