Mr. Menefee worked for Pepsi for many years and more recently had worked on the custodial staff at Liberty High School.
He is survived by a grandson and his wife, Earl and Darcy Menefee of Marshall and a granddaughter and her husband, Theresa and Justin Sullivan of Rixeyville.
Additional survivors include a daughter-in-law, Patricia Menefee of Rixeyville and two great grandsons, Justin and Jacob Sullivan; four sisters, Margaret Fincham of Front Royal, Bertie Pullen of Flint Hill, Ann Layton and Oakie Lambert, both of Charlottesville, two brothers, Roger Menefee of Washington, and James Menefee of Flint Hill and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Floyd and Josie Menefee, he was preceded in death by a son, Earl S. Menefee Jr. and two brothers.
Private interment will take place at Flint Hill Cemetery, Flint Hill, VA.

Kenneth Nelson Leonard, 44, of Castleton, VA died on Tuesday, October 24, at Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton.
He was bom in Hamadan, Iran on March 1, 1962.
A former resident of Kingsport, TN, he graduated from Dobbyns Bennett High School in 1980. He graduated from Baylor University in Waco, TX and attended graduate school at the University of Florida at Gainesville.
He was recently employed at the Inn at Little Washington.
