Mt. Salem assault
A phone call from a neighbor led Rappahannock County Sheriff Deputy Gary Jenkins to arrest Michael James Ash, 21 of Washington, VA for assault and battery on October 30th.
The call was made on October 30th at around 1:00 a.m. reporting a dispute in the household. Jenkins’ investigation revealed that
Ash had a dispute with his girlfriend, pushing her into a door. Ash was released on a $2,500 bond and Jenkins requested an emergency protective order placed on him which was granted by the County Magistrate.
Missing handguns
A Rappahannock resident on Lake Drive reported on October 26 that several hand guns had been stolen from his house together with jewelry from his daughter’s jewelry box. He said that he believed that his son was responsible for the crime. Further investigation revealed that a total of nine
