Services were held in ; Kingsport, TN on Sunday, October 29.
A memorial celebration will be held on November 14 for family and friends in Rappahannock to include a benefit for Carolina’s education.
Anne W. Hilldrup
Anne Wood Hilldrup, 81, of Spotsylvania County died Thursday, October 26, at Mary Washington Hospital.
She graduated in 1946 from Mary Washington College and was a member of Zoan Baptist Church where she had taught Sunday School for many years, served as clerk of the church for 22 years, was a member of the Women’s Missionary Union and had served as secretary for the Fredericksburg Baptist Association for a number of years. Mrs. Hilldrup was a former member of the Spotsylvania Planning Commission, Spotsylvania County Historic Preservation Commission and had worked as a substitute teacher at Chancellor Elementary School for over ten years.
Mrs. Hilldrup was also a.* former member of Chancellor Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, E. Gordon Hilldrup; two sons, E. Gordon “Ned” Hilldrup, Jr., of Spotsylvania and James W. Hilldrup and his wife, Susan, of Spotsylvania; three grandchildren, James W. Hilldrup, Jr., Marianna A. Hilldrup and Gregory T. Hilldrup all of Spotsylvania; a half-brother, H. B. Wood of Woodville.
A funeral service was held at 11 a. m. Monday, October 30 . at Covenant Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. John Gordon officiating.
