McCarthy said Brown has asked for more time to organize a community meeting to address concerns from neighboring property owners. In the past, the board has always granted an extension when one is requested in such circumstances, and McCarthy said he thinks Brown’s extension will be approved as well.
Monday’s meeting will be the last for Piedmont District Supervisor Tbm Taylor, who , was appointed to the board in May after supervisor Charles K “Pete” Estes passed away. Taylor is stepping down one year before his interim term was scheduled to expire.
The public is welcome at the meeting, which is scheduled for 2 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Courthouse. McCarthy said the board’s evening session, scheduled for 7 p.m., will likely not be necessary if Brown’s permit application is left off the agenda.
