Another thing that struck me was that instead of having “affordable” housing for the most important people in every county, teachers and police, maybe we could just give them the ability to afford better housing. I brought that up to her and she mentioned that our taxes would go up. The last time I checked, my taxes did go up. Which led to my next point. How come our taxes keep going up and there doesn’t seem to be any improvements to our services? I also asked her that instead of continuously raising the citizen’s taxes, maybe the supervisors should consider taxing the businesses in the county.
