“We are very grateful for our first three years at Belle Meade, and [Belle Meade owners] Susan [Hoffman] and Mike [Biniek] have gone beyond the call of duty to help us have a wonderful beginning,” Nixon said.
The farm school is an extension of the Mountain Laurel Montessori School, which started in 1989 in Front Royal.
“True Ewe is just 10 miles from our mother school [in Front Royal] and we just want to feel more unified .... so our staff can be more in contact with each other,” Nixon said
Twenty students are enrolled at the farm school, which serves seventh-, eighth- and ninthgraders. Nixon said the maximum capacity for the proposed property, which includes a 4,000-square-foot house, is 30 students.
