Hope Hill Baptist Church is located at 17 Hope Hill Rd, Castleton.
Hope Hill Community Chapel was started as a missions outreach by Maranatha Tabernacle of Philadelphia, PA in the 1940s by Miss Emily Mundell.
The church began meeting in the old Hope Hill School in Castleton. Several missionaries came as pastors in the church during the 1950s, including R. L. Hamilton, Ray Vanderveer, Dick Trout, and Otto Stahle. Milton Switzer arrival in 1959 and was pastor until 1968.
After a brief ministry back in Philadelphia, Pastor Switzer returned in 1971 and the church was chartered as an independent
