County supervisor Ron Frazier is not the only one skeptical of a proposed performance contract with Ameresco to make several improvements to county schools and offices.
Tom Junk of Concerned Taxpayers sent an email calling for two meetings - one on April 16 at Chester Gap Fire Hall and another on April 21 at the county library - and claiming that county taxpayers were being “railroaded” into a $5 million debt.
They face off against schools superintendent Dr. Bob Chappell who enthusiastically supports the contract citing that the county is risking no money and the net effect to the annual budget would be zero.
