NOTICE OF RAPPAHANNOCK COUNTY

DEMOCRATIC CAUCUS

The Rappahannock County Democratic Committee hereby announces that if will hold an assembled caucus (mass meeting) beginning at 7:30pm, on April 27, 2009 at the Rappahannock County Library, Lee Highway, Washington, VA for the purpose of electing 2 Delegates to the 7th Congressional District Convention to be held in Richmond, VA on May 9, 2009. The purpose of the convention will be to elect members to the 7th Congressional District Committee.

Doors to the convention will open at 11:00 am for check-in. Any person attending the caucus, before participating in that caucus, shall sign a standardized declaration form stating that he or she is a Democrat, believes in the principles of the Democratic Party, does not intend to support any candidate who is opposed to a democratic nominee in the ensuing general election, and is a registered voter in Rappahannock County. Declaration forms must be filled out at the caucus prior to voting Declaration forms must be filled out at the caucus prior to 7:30pm. Doors to the caucus will be closed at that time and no person may complete a form or enter the caucus after that time with the exception of those persons in line at the above mentioned time. *

Any person wishing to seek election as a delegate to the 7th District Committee listed above must file a written Delegate Prefiling Form with Raymond Boc, Chair of the Rappahannock County Democratic Committee, PO Box 295, Sperryville, VA 22740, prior to 5:00pm, Wednesday April 22. 2009. No person who has failed to comply with the profiling requirements may be considered for nomination.
