Granville Gordon Hudson. 79. of Flint Hill, died Sunday, April 12. 2009.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 16. 2009, at Maddox Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Payne officiating. Interment will follow at the Flint Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Hudson was born April 18, 1929. in Rappahannock County to the late Dewey Hudson and Mattie Carter Hudson.
Mr. Hudson is survived by his wife of over 50 years Frances Hudson, a son Barry Hudson and his companion Roxanne Campbell of Front Royal; a daughter Kathy Hudson of Flint Hill; a step-son Larry Clark and his wife Gloria of Front Royal; a step-daughter Madeline Herndon and her husband Otis of Front Royal; four step-grandchildren Larry Clark, Gary Clark. Bnan Herndon, and Stacy Herndon; four sisters Dons Corbin. Phyliss Yancey, Mary Williams, and Frances Payne; and many other extended family, fnends, and loved ones. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, Henry, Whit, Edward, and Herndon Hudson.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Williams, Tommy Williams, Steve Lillard, Larry Clark, Gary Clark, and Wayne Payne. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Estes. John Burke, and Bud Carter.
The family will receive fnends one hour pnor to the service at the funeral home.
