At eight or nine years of age, I am old enough to know why the caged dog whines. I beat my wings against the bars, all right. When they snared me I was outside Sperryville heading over the mountain. Just let me roam up in that park; an older foxhound can take care of himself, you can be sure. I’d be just as happy to take care of you if we were to set up housekeeping together. This past week two dogs were joined with new owners. The Rappahannock Animal Welfare League is located in Amissville at 160 Weaver Reed.
