Lilia “Bea” Terrell
April 29, 1915 -April 13. 2009
Lilia Beatrice Terrell was met and welcomed into heaven by her beloved son James Henry Terrell, III and her beloved husband of forty-four years, James Henry Terrell, Jr. and her parents and siblings on April 13, 2009. Her last days were spent peacefully in the loving care of the staff of Loving Arms in Front Royal. Virginia along with her daughter and son-in-law and the Letsen grandchildren.
Bea Terrell was bom in Vixen iChaldwell Parish >, Louisiana on April 29, 1915 the daughter of Lilia Belle Whitlock and John Newton Gregory. She was the youngest of fourteen children.
She was married for forty-four years to a Col. in the I'mted States Air Force, James Henry Terrell, Jr and had two children. James Henry Terrell III and Sally Annette (Terrell) Letsen.
She spent her life loving, giving and serving her family, relatives, friends and her community. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was loyal and caring always to her siblings, and to all of the Whitlock-Gregory clan, all of her life She volunteered at her church in Alexandra, Virginia, Plymouth Haven Baptist Church up until her twilight years She was known in her neighborhinid for her long walks and talking with anyone, and for having an encouraging word for all. not to mention her witty humor
After her children graduated from high school, she returned to work as a secretary/stenographer at the Pentagon. She worked there until she retired. As a military wife she loved the life of entertaining and going to Diplomatic dinners with her husband and visiting all of the sites of Washington DC.
