I did not think it possible but our
delegate, Todd Gilbert, managed to add insult to injury.
First, he was one of only 10 members of the House of Delegates to vot< to turn down the first federal stimulus package. This package protected tne jobs of 7,000 Virginia citizens. The package also will create thousands of new jobs, and it will bring an estimated $620,000 to Rappahannock schools over the next two years.
He now has voted to turn down the second federal stimulus bill of $125 million that would have extended unemployment benefits to Virginia's full and part-time workers. Mr. Gilbert said it would hurt business.
