Miss June Jordan decided she liked the professional aspects of pot> tery rather than teaching after « receiving her bachelor of fine arts and master of fine arts degrees from * the University of Georgia, so in 1966 she opened her own shop. At the shop, located in the Blue Ridge foothills at Washington, Va., she produces and sells her pottery.
Ben Venue Garage located on Route 729 was partially destroyed by fire Saturday morning. Downing Hitt, the owner,was welding when the fire started. In addition to damage done to the building, two automobiles, a motorcycle and much equipment were destroyed. Fire companies from Washington, Flint Hill, Amissville, Castleton and Sperryville responded.
