Chapter 10 Services Board Director Howard Lieberman gave the RappahannockRapidan Planning District Nine Commissioners a run down on Chapter 10’s burgeoning programs at last Thursday’s PD9 meeting in Culpeper.
Lieberman told the Commissioners that SI,150,000 worth of services funded through Chapter 10 were tied together by meeting “the mandate of the law that created the agency.”
As Chapter 10’s Executive Director, Lieberman attended the meeting at the request of the Commissioners to explain how all the Chapter 10 grant requests involving a number of subordinate agencies fit together. Chapter 10 funding requests routinely pass through the Commission for comment as part of the state and federal review process. In the past, Commissioners have questioned the frequency and scope of the grants.
