Scout Meeting

Den Two met on Saturday at the Washington Baptist Church. Things started off with the cub scout promise. Then the den divided into two teams for a tug of war. The contest was declared a tie since both sides ended up on the ground once each.

Den chief Downing McCoy helped the boys working on their Bear badges learn to tie a clove hitch. One Cub did it on his first try. Ryan Barnes and Lucky McVoy showed Marc Forestsmith and Mike Wayland how to do a square knot for the Wolf badge and all the Cubs worked on whipping a rope.

After a rough game of football, the meeting ended.

Special Service

James Price, pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church in Flint Hill in charge of the services. All the sister churches and their Usher’s Boards are invited to attend and participate in the program.

We do everything by custom, even believe by it; our very axioms, let us boast of our free thinking. as we may, are oftenest simply such beliefs as we have never heard questioned.
