Natural Living
Course Offered
Persons who want to do something about the rapid draining away of the nation’s resources might find beneficial the Natural Living and Homesteading courses available through Lord Fairfax Community College.
Growing a vegetable garden organically, without the use of artificial sprays and fertilizers, using energy and water more efficiently, tapping solar energy, living and homesteading on the land, all energy-savings efforts, will be discussed in Explorations in Natural Living, a humanities course.
The course, held on Monday evenings from 7 to 10 p.m., begins Sept. 26 and ends Dec. 5.
Registration, now in progress through Sep. 21, continues daily from 9 to 3:30 Monday through Thursday. One night registration is scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 21. The course instructor, Patricia M. Nesbitt, holds a master’s degree in Environmental Studies, and is an environmental consultant and free lance writer.
