Virginia Tech’s Extension Division will sponsor a twoday symposium on forest taxation Nov. 30-Dec. 1 on the Blacksburg campus.
Harry L. Haney Jr., Tech Extension forest management specialist, said that taxes are a perennial concern to forest landowners from coast to coast whether they’re large or small, industrial or nonindustrial.
The symposium will present the latest information available on the economic, administrative, political and resource allocation of forest tax policy, said Haney, an assistant professor in Tech’s School of Forestry and Wildlife Resources.
