had a full aaj^“Outdoor Experienc<A»»ffi training, on Saturday, September 24 at Lake Arrowhead near Luray, where they learned the requirements for hiking, cooking and camping skill awards. The program was under the direction of Otis Feldhauser, Shenrapawa District Commissioner. Leadership training and specialized skill know-how will be given to Scouts in troop leadership jobs, such as Patrol Leader, at Lake Arrowhead on the weekend of October 8 and 9, also under Feldhauser’s direction.
Information and training directly related to unit programs is part of the regular monthly district roundtables for pack and troop leaders held on the second Thursday nights in Shenrapawa District at the Front Royal Presbyterian Church.
The council leadership training committee also provides direct training to new unit leaders and for adults related to new packs and troops, according to leadership development chairman Paul Willis.
