SLS Notes: I sometimes use a regular baking dish and substitute four slices of Canadian bacon diced, for the bacon slices. After browning slightly in the pan, I reserve the Canadian Bacon and sprinkle it over the top of the casserole just before putting on the apples. If you use the Canadian Bacon, you will have to add about 1VS tablespoons of drippings for cooking the onions.
