For Farm Tour
Culpeper County has been selected as the site of the 2nd annual Virginia Farm Management Tour scheduled for summer 1978, an Extension farm management specialist at Virginia Tech announced.
Robert K. Reynolds, the specialist, said planning already is under way for next year’s tour which will showcase six or seven farms demonstrating good farm management. Dairy, livestock and grains are among Culpeper’s major farm enterprises, Reynolds said. The 1978 farm management tour will be sponsored by Tech’s Extension Division and department of agricultural economics in cooperation with Culpeper County agricultural leaders.
Reynolds said the tour, while open to others, is designed primarily to permit farmers to visit enterprises of their choice and to inspect and inquire about farm management practices they consider useful on their own farms.
