The annual Stonewall Jackson Relays Invitational was held on Saturday, April 22, and the Rappahannock Panthers came back with exciting personal achievements. Girls’ and boys’ varsity teams competed and each came away with assorted medals, ribbons and golden spikes.
The prime focus of the Invitational is on relay competition and a trophy is awarded to each school that wins a relay. For this reason, individual team scores are not kept and all of the events of a regular track meet are not held. Events other than relays are held for the benefit of those athletes interested solely in improving performances, and results do not serve to better school standings in the district.
