either of the latter two items in this County since I returned six months ago!) In this County I own exactly one Ford automobile (sans CB radio set). That’s all. Moreover, I’ll trade my personal income right now for that of any teacher on the County payroll. Does that take care of that, "CP”?

1 think "CP” owes me a personal apology, delivered exactly as the affront was delivered, i.e., in the Rappahannock News. Also, I ask “CP” to address these points, along with the expected apology:

(1) Do ‘‘let's consider Rappahannock’s ability to pay.” Let’s have “CP’s” analysis of that ability to pay. Upon what factual data would “CP” base that ability to pay? But spare us, for God’s sake, any more nonsense about golf clubs, tennis rackets, and CB radios.

(2) Let “CP” tell us exactly how the School Board and school administrators have broken their word.

(3) Let “CP” tell us exactly how many of the County's 55 teachers are “rejects” (and privately give their names to the School Board).

(4) Does ‘!CP”, or anyone, believe that the cited 47 per cent turn-over in personnel is due entirely to dissatisfaction over pay? Are we to believe that teachers are shocked, surprised, and frustrated after they are on the job to learn what their salaries are?

(5) Does "CP” agree with the socialist philosophy:” from each according to his ability: to his ability; to each according to his needs”? Or just with the latter half of it? I.e., does "CP” agree with the merit system for salary adjustments which I have recommended?

(6) “CP” says the letter must be anonymous because “I am sure it would cause repercussions for my children.” To suggest that any teacher, administrator, or School Board member in

Rappahannock County would take out on innocent children their resentment against “CP” for expressing opinions publicly is an enormity. This, indeed, is a sorry tale. This terrible accusation in print deserves either another apology in print or a factual report to the proper
