Many uses of solar energy are not new. Many ancient and modern houses have been oriented to admit the sun’s heat when it was desired and to exclude its heat otherwise. Wood, from trees which used the sun's energy for their growth, was burned for heat and power.
Recent developments of solar energy have been meager. Lack of public interest has been based on the false assumption of plentiful energy from fossil and nuclear fuels.
