To the editor:
At the April 5 meeting of the Board of supervisors, Mr. Davis referred to newcomers as wanting "to live under a Socialist government.” This remark as well as his attitude toward newcomers has prompted us to write.
As residents of Rappahannock County for approximately one month, we moved to this wonderful little town from the city of Fredericksburg, Virginia, which soon, if not already, will be a suburb of Washington, D. C. this is precisely why we moved to Washington—to escape three shopping centers, two Pizza Huts, two Hardees, two McDonalds, two Kentucky Fried Chickens, two Big Boys, and other assorted fast food houses, not to mention the countless subdivisions as well as the general irritations of city life.
