Scholarship
Applications for a $300 scholarship offered by the Virginia Press Women (VPW), an organization for professional journalists, are now being accepted. The 1979 Agnes Cooke, Scholarship Award will be presented to a college junior, senior or graduate student who plans a career in journalism.
Student applicants are not required to be enrolled in a journalism degree program. Applicants can be male or female.
Applications should be in letter form and should include a brief statement explaining their interest in journalism. Students are requested to include a resume and samples of published work if possible.

The winner of the award will be announced at the annual Virginia Press Women Convention in the fall.
