Mrs. Olive Ray of Richmond was the weekend guest of her mother, Mrs. Julia Poe. Visiting Mrs. Poe Saturday was Mrs. Frances Thorne of Valley Lee, Md.

Mrs. Sarah Latham was joined for lunch Monday at the home of Miss Louise Anderson in Culpeper by her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Kephart of Herndon and Miss Josephine Chelf of Culpeper. Weekend guests of Mrs. Latham for the races were Sally Mann and Vincent Nicholson of McLean and Mrs. Eddie Huff of Herndon. Additional Sunday breakfast guests were Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Buntin, Mrs. R. A. Baines, Bobby and Lee of Washington, Lt. and Mrs. David Streagle, Shannon a^d.Marc.

Mrs. Annie Chelmis is spending two weeks in England visiting family and friends.

Mrs. Myrtle Smith is recuperating at home following a sprained ankle. Mrs. Gladys Dodson was a Thursday caller of Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Roberta Woodward of Warrenton was a weekend guest.

Testing Phase

National Guard Pfc. Ricky D. Woodward, son of Mr. and Mrs. Milton E. Woodward of Amissville, recently completed Phase 1 of the Two-Station Test at Fort Knox, Ky.

The test is being conducted to see if basic entry training can be effectively reduced from 16 weeks to 12 weeks and still be administered at two stations. The second phase is held at Fort Benning, Ga.

Woodward attended Bluefield (W. Va.) State College and Towson (Md.) State University.

Drive Ends

The Culpeper Community Concerts Association annual membership drive ends June 3. The association offers Rappahannock residents a season of musical enjoyment to suit all tastes, ranging from jazz and classical to popular Broadway hits.
