Acknowledging that last year’s Memorial Day weekend was the worst since 1969 in terms of highway fatalities, the Department of State Police recently announced its plans for this year’s holiday weekend.
The Department, according to Colonel D. M. Slane, will participate in Operation C.A.R.E.Interstate 95 as it did last year. However, this year’s efforts will be extended to other areas of the State as well.
