There will be an open house on Memorial Day weekend. May 26, 27 and 28. from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at the student built home completed by students from Piedmont Technical School.
A joint effort between the Piedmont Board of Realtors and the regional school, the housing project was initiated in October, 1976. Financial assistance was provided by the New Bank of Culpeper. Construction continued during the 1977-78 and 197879 school years and will be finished May 25, 1979.
Students at Piedmont have done all the work themselves. Outside contractors were called in for well installation, excavation, floor tiling, carpeting and guttering only.
Priced in the high $30,000, the house is located on a 2.25 acre lot and will be for sale as of May 26. It has three bedrooms and a full basement. Those interested in viewing the home should attend the open house or contact a local realtor. The property is located just off Route 15 between Orange and Culpeper near the midway General Store. Turn on Route 648 and follow the signs.
