Paul A. Poling of Amissville has been named a member of the State Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council for a two year term which began August 6 and will terminate June 30, 1981. The appointment was made by Gov. John Dalton.
The council is composed of about 35 members, including rescue personnel, doctors, consumers—in effect, representatives from a variety of businesses all over the state. In this manner a cross section of ideas and interests is made known, and needs can be ascertained, according to Poling.
The council will meet periodically, probably every two months, in Richmond to make recommendations for the Emergency Medical Services, which is concerned with techniques, equipment, and all facets of an incident from the time of its occurence through completion of emergency room service.
