Commuter Fare
Trailways is asking the Interstate Commerce Commission for a 37 per cent increase in commuter fares, effective Sept. 16.
The increase will affect rates between Washington and Centreville, Manassas, Catlett, Warrenton and Fredericksburg and intermediate points. The announcement was made by Elliott Burnside, president of Virginia Stage Lines, which operates the Trailways bus system.
