“It’s a good idea for drivers approaching areas where students may be waiting to take their foot off the accelerator and place it over the brake pedal to allow an extra split second of reaction time for emergencies. Because youngsters are preoccupied with school activities at this time of year, motorists need to assist busy students by driving defensively and compensating for any carelessness they may exhibit.”
