Labor Day
Labor Day Weekend, September 1 through September 3, marks the close of summer facilities in Virginia State Parks, announced Parks Commissioner, Ben H. Bolen.
Day-use facilities, such as beaches, snack bars and restaurants, will be open through Labor Day. Admission and parking fees will remain in effect through September 3.
“Although summer activities will end Labor Day weekend, we encourage outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy fall and winter activities such as picnicking, hiking, fishing and nature study,” said Bolen.
Camping facilities will be available until December 3, 1979, and state park cabins can be rented until October 1.
