Mr. and Mrs. Paul Poling joined by Mr. and Mrs. Tom Taylor of Sperryville were guests for a weekend recently of Mr. Poling’s brother-inlaw and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Shoen of Alexandria at their beach home in Avalon, N. J.

Mr. and Mrs. Braxton James spent last week at Shenandoah Acres at Stuarts Draft and at the country music festival at the Orange Blossom Park in Waynesboro. Karl James of Richmond spent the weekend with the James family, and Mr. and Mrs. David James of Culpeper were visitors Monday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Kinsey Wharton, Cindy and Michael entertained Sunday with a dinner in honor of the birthBridge

Party

Mrs. Hugh Chrisman was hostess to the Sperryville Bridge Club Friday evening.

Guests were Mrs. C. E. Johnson, Jr., Mrs. Dale Metzinger, Mrs. R. E. Wood, Mrs. Frances Tabler, Mrs. Brown Miller, Mrs. Roy L. Reeve, Mrs. R. E. Thompson and Mrs. Mary Quaintance.

Prize winners were Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Metzinger and Mrs. Wood. Mrs. Tabler won the bingo prize.
