Members of Virginia Electric’s management board of directors and employees were on hand to receive the news of the local cooperative’s membership approval.
Also in attendance were representatives of the Virginia Association of Electric Cooperatives including Charles C. Jones, Executive Vice President of the Richmond-based association that includes cooperatives in Virginia, Maryland and Delaware.
Voting was also held for directors from Region I, II, and III, who serve members in Culpeper, Rappahannock and Fauquier Counties. Reelected for three year terms were T. C. Barron, W. M. Alphin and a newly elected Gary Sarkozi.
