Public schools in Rappahannock County will open Monday, August 27 with the first day dismissal at 2 o'clock. All except two teaching positions had been filled as of Tuesday morning. Instructors for special education departments had been especially difficult to find since the demand for them all over the country is so great.
New faculty members at Rappahannock County High School include Mary Denson Moore of Winchester, a graduate of Salem College with three years teaching experience, who will teach English.
Sherry Grogg Chrisman of Luray will be the business teacher. She is a graduate of James Madison University and has no previous experience.
Also teaching English is Susan Nance Cobb of Front Royal, a graduate of Radford College. She has seven years experience.
Michael Anderson Kimble of Amherst will teach social studies and will coach cross country and outdoor track. He graduated from Saint Paul's College and has not taught previously.
