Lawrence Davenport Jordan, 53, formerly of Huntly, died in the Veterans Hospital in Martinsburg on August 9, 1979.
Funeral services were held August 13 at the Robertshaw Funeral Home by the Rev. John Pendleton. Burial was in Macedonia Odd Fellows Cemetery, Flint Hill.
Mr. Jordan was born in Huntly. July 4, 1926, son of the late Thomas Lee and Rosie Jordan. He was a farmer and served in the United States Army during World War II.
He is survived by two daughters, Ann Virginia Jordan and Julia Magdalene Taylor, both of Baltimore, Md.; three sisters, Bessie Jett of Huntly, Irma B. Jett of Flint Hill and Virginia Wallace of Washington, D.C. and one grandchild.
