Mrs. Jessie Wisecarver of Stephens City was a weekend guest of her aunt, Mrs. Gilbert Updike.

Mr. and Mrs. Howard Fritts of Front Royal were Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Reid Payne and family and Sheila Estes.

The Washington Cub Scouts from Den 5 enjoyed a picnic Sunday at Dickey Ridge on Skyline Drive.

Calling on Mrs. Gabe Burke Saturday was her daughter, Mrs. Mary Ida Owens, of Broad Run. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Alther and family were Sunday visitors.

Suzanne Updike of Culpeper spent Saturday with her grandmother, Mrs. John Updike.

Mrs. E. E. Forward returned home Saturday after spending the summer months with Mr. and Mrs. I. E. Forward in Three Rivers, Mich. Mr. and Mrs. Forward will be spending the week here.

Mrs. H. T. Updike returned home last Friday from Culpeper Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Frank Parker and children of Culpeper were Sunday evening callers.

Mrs. Guy Burke spent several days last week with Mr. and Mrs. Trenton Burke in Culpeper. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Upham of Bridgewater were Thursday visitors, the Rev. David Moore visited on Friday and Saturday visitors were Richard Burke of Culpeper and Andy Burke of Front Royal.

Mrs. Mozelle Carver accompanied by Mrs. Helen Smoot attended services Sunday at the Bible Presbyterian Church in Arlington. AMN Michael W. Tupper of Langley Air Force Base at Hampton spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Tupper and family.
