A 10,000 meter road race to benefit the Culpeper Family Y will be held Saturday, September 29, at Mountain Run Lake Park in Culpeper. The course will cover 6.2 miles of rolling scenic countryside over hard surface roads and approximately one mile of gravel. There will be breaks at one, three and five miles with water provided at the start, during the race and at the finish. Transportation will be available from the staging area to the starting point.
Trophies will be awarded to overall male and female winners, oldest and youngest finishers and first three male and female finishers in each age category. T-shirts will be given to all registerd runners. Entry fees are $4 before September 15 and $5 after that date. Pre-regislered runners may pick up their packets on Friday, September 28, at the Holiday Inn on Route 29 South. Late registration and packet pick up will be between 7 and 8:15 a.m at the staging area on the day of the race.
