(Continued from Page 1) ordinance states that it is unlawful to deposit trash on the ground around the dumpsters or to deposit trash originating outside the county in the dumpsters, The ordinance sets penalties for violation at either or both a fine not to exceed $300 and confinement not to exceed 30 days in the county jail.
The supervisors also indicated at an earlier meeting that they intended to prohibit "trespassing" inside the dumpsters on the grounds that scavaging resulted in additional trash tossed on the ground.
Hospital Contracts
At the request of Social services director Elizabeth Buntin. the supervisors approved 1979-80 contracts with four area hospitals for hospitalization of indigents. Noting that rates for all the institutions showed an increase, Mrs. Buntin remarked that “there isn't anything we can do about this. It’s a product of inflation."
