Mrs. Edmond Burke, who broke her leg during the October snow, had the misfortune of falling again, breaking a bone in her other foot and is recuperating at home.
Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Cave and Tanya, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Fincham and Peggy spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Cave in Stanley.

The Flint Hill Rescue Squad transported Robert Moorefield from his home in Flint Hill January 23 to Warren Memorial Hospital and transported him from there on January 24 to Anderson Clinic, Arlington. They answered a call to the Herbert Barksdale residence January 26, however services; were not required.
Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Department assisted Amissville on a possible structure fire January 29 and responded to Charles Raney's' tenant house January 24, however, services were not needed.
Washington Rescue Squad took Sam Bruce from his home in Gid Brown Hollow on January 23 to Culpeper Memorial Hospital and on the 27th, Margaret Knight was taken from home to Warren Memorial Hospital. Front Royal.
R-MA Plans
Randolph-Macon’s Board of Trustees recently authorized a $250,000 renovation program that will be conducted over the next two years at the Front Royal academy.
Top priority areas include improvements to dormitory bathrooms and individual living quarters with special attention given to energy conservation. The school will also investigate installation of solar heating for the gymnasium, chapel, indoor swimming complex and other areas.
Additional improvements call for the installation of a new fire alarm system for the entire campus.
