NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC The Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries has ordered to be published, pursuant to Sections 29 125, 29 126 and 29 127 of the Code of Virginia, the following proposed changes in Commission regulations applicable statewide. A public hearing on the advisability of adopting, or amending and adopting, each of the proposed changes, or any part thereof, will be held at the Holiday InnMidtown, 3200 West Broad Street, Richmond, Virginia, beginning at 9:30 a.m., on February 22, 1980, at which any interested citizen present shall be heard. If the Com mission is satisfied that proposed changes in its regulations, or any parts thereof, are advisable, in the form in which published or as amended as a result of the public hearing, the Com mission may adopt each such proposal, acting upon the proposals separately or in block. .HAPTER 23. Fishing Generally.
Amend Regulation R23-3. Size limits, to establish a statewide minimum size limit of seven inches on trout except for certain waters covered elsewhere in proposed new regulations under Chapter ^4, Trout Fishing; to become effective January 1, 1981. CHAPTER 24. Trout Fishing. Amend Regulation R24-6 (a) to make it unlawful to fish for any species with more than one hook attached to a single line in streams stocked with trout and such hook must be baited with natural or artificial bait. This shall not be construed to prohibit the use of artificial lures with more than one hook. To become effective January 1, 1981.
CHAPTER 24. Trout Fishing.
Amend Regulation R24 9.1 to eliminate all references to "artificial lure with single barbless hook," and replace with, "artificial lure with single hook." To be effective January 1, 1981.
