Sometimes sun care products contain a Sun Protection Factor (SPF) rating. The numbers range from two to 15 with the higher number providing more skin protection. Fair or sensitive skin which burns some but tans gradually needs a SPF rating of at least six or seven for extra protection.
Other artificial tanning preparations are “bronzers.” They are water-soluble stains. Like the products containing DHA, there is no sun protection unless a sunscreen is one of the ingredients.

A chitterling and chicken dinner will be served at the home of Mrs. Catherine Carter in Washington on Saturday, June 21. Dinners will be $4 in and S4.50 out. Arrangements can be made by calling 675-3719 after 5 p.m. Monday - Friday or any time Saturday.
Proceeds will benefit the Rappahannock NAACP branch Rally.
