A new multicolor map showing rock types in eastern Rappahannock County from Massies Corner to Viewtown is now available. This map has been prepared by the Division of Mineral Resources of the Virginia Department of Conservation and Economic Development.

Publication 17. Geology of the Massies Corner Quadrangle. Virginia, by M. T. Lukert and C. R. Halladay, is a single sheet map with accompanying text. The distribution of nine different rock types are shown by colored patterns on a topographic base for easy reference. An interpretive view of the subsurface configuration of the rocks is included.
