I’d like to again welcome you all here tonight. As I look across the auditorium, I see many familiar faces: our faculty and administration, parents, relatives, friends, and of course fellow graduates. I know I’m speaking for the whole class when I say how much it means to us for you to be here.

When 1 was thinking about what I was going to say tonight, we were learning the song. '‘Sometimes", in choir. (Also our last selection tonight) It’s a very short song, but I think it grasps an important idea. The only words are:

"Sometimes not often enough, we reflect upon the good things

And these thoughts always center around those we love.

And 1 think about those people who mean so much to me.

And for so many years have made me so very happy.

And 1 count the times I have forgotten to say Thank You.

And just how much I love them."

1 think we all realize how much we owe our parents, they have shown so much love and support for us. You can go to any basketball game and pick out the parent of a player. They're the ones cheering louder than anyone else: they’re your biggest fan. They've tried to teach us responsibilities, what’s right, and what’s wrong. They deserve a lot of the credit tonight too.

We've worked hard and I know there have been trying moments in school for each of us. However, as our class gathers together for the last time, all of our memories of these past 12 years are very happy indeed. We’ve learned together, played together^ but most important we’ve grown together.
