MISS ELSIE DODSON
retired after a teaching
career which spanned 21 years, all of it in Rappahannock County. She is a native of Flint Hill.
Miss Joan Lee Spence, also a Flint Hill native, was named teacher of the year at Elkton High School where she taught government and geography. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Lee. and at that time she and her husband Gerais resided in Bridgewater.
Fanning Baumgardner resigned as assistant county zoning administrator.
Ian Pyrde of Blue Rock Farm, Washington, sustained injuries in a tractor accident and was hospitalized in Culpeper and Charlottesville.
Charles Moore was assigned to Rappahannock this week as a trooper with the Virginia Department of State Police.
